Maximize the Lifespan of Your Carpet Tiles

Long term performance and appearance retention begins with effective maintenance. Improper maintenance may reduce the useful life of the modular carpet tile.

A proper maintenance program is important for long-term performance and improved Indoor Air Quality. Test results show that carpet fiber entraps airborne contaminates from the breathing zone. Utilizing approved vacuum cleaners, cleaning chemicals and cleaning methods, the Indoor Air Quality of the facility is greatly improved. Soil prevention with entrance barrier walk-off matting, vacuuming and spot removal should be included in the regular maintenance plan.

Carpet has an effective “filter-like,” or particle trapping, feature that tends to trap and hold particles to the floor that would otherwise become airborne.

Cleaning Frequency

The guidelines are designed to achieve optimum appearance levels and maximum useful life of the carpet (CRI 204 Commercial Carpet Standard for Maintenance and Cleaning, 2019, p. 10 and 17).
